The negative impact COVID-19 has had on the music industry left KLP wanting to create a way to focus on cultivating communities outside of a nightclub.

"Outside of the dancefloor, being able to gather people together so they can meet, I can share some knowledge and they can ask questions," the singer-songwriter said. "It's just going to be a great environment for everyone to be a part of." All skill levels are welcome workshop and will involve a discussion about the music industry and a question-and-answer forum.

"We'd love to get as many people coming along if they're interested in music and DJing," KLP said. The former House Party show host has collaborated with artists including Skrillex, Peking Duk and Sonny Fodera, and has played major festivals around Australia including Splendour in the Grass and Field Day. She has been DJing for 15 years and said it has been great to see an increase of women and non binary people breaking into the industry.

"That's even more reason why I think it's really important that I'm there talking to people," she said. "I've had a lot of females hit me up and ask about this and we're trying to get more to come along as well because I think that's really important. KLP said when she is playing a set, she usually doesn't have time to connect to people interested in learning more about the field and answer their questions.

"It's going to create a great vibe for Albury and hopefully ignite some new artists and ," she said. The DJ has played in Albury twice before, and said she loves the area for its food options and bars. To register, visit Journalist at The Border Mail.
