As ESPN and Amazon Prime football analyst Kirk Herbstreit jets around the country each week, his youngest son, Chase Herbstreit, is scrambling around the football field. Chase Herbstreit is a quarterback at St. Xavier in Ohio.

He's a class of 2025 recruit. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound quarterback prospect has been playing well this season. But on Friday night, in a game against Moeller, he had arguably the best highlight of his season.



Herbstreit jetted for an 80-yard score on the opening play of the contest. It was pretty wild. "Chase Herbstreit, the son of Kirk, went 80 yards ON THE FIRST PLAY OF THE GAME," SportsCenter wrote.

Xavier, 45-37. WCPO in Cincinnati had more: Moeller, ranked No. 3 in the Division I, Region 4 computer points standings, is ranked No.

6 in the MaxPreps Ohio rankings. St. X is ranked No.

5 in the Division I, Region 4 and No. 7 in the MaxPreps rankings. Friday night was the 72nd meeting between the storied programs.

Moeller leads the all-time series, 47-24-1. This was the third time the teams played since Sept. 15, 2023.
