ESPN College GameDay analyst Kirk Herbstreit is going to receive a big honor on Friday. Herbstreit will be honored by the city of Centerville, Ohio on Friday before his son Chase's high school football game. Chase plays for St.

Xavier High School and is the team's starting quarterback. He'll be going against Centerville High School, Herbstreit's alma mater. Herbstreit will be presented with a special coin as a pre-game tribute and will also be featured in a video montage with highlights from his playing and broadcasting career.



"This Friday, right before the kickoff of the highly anticipated St. Xavier football game, there will be a special recognition ceremony to honor one of our most distinguished alumni, Kirk Herbstreit. A true Centerville legend, Kirk has carried the spirit of our community to the national stage and become one of the most respected voices in sports," Centerville High School Athletics said in a statement .
