Georgia dropped in the College Football Playoff rankings this week after losing to Ole Miss. Georgia came into that game with only one loss but got dominated on both sides of the ball and suffered its second loss, 28-10. The Bulldogs were No.

3 in the CFP rankings last week but fell to No. 12 in the rankings this week. However, if the CFP started today, the Bulldogs would be the first team out with the Boise State Broncos from the Mountain West being in.

Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart saw the rankings and wasn't happy with them. He made his displeasure clear during an appearance on the "Pat McAfee Show and was especially upset about the committee maybe not valuing the strength of schedule as much as other metrics. Eakin Howard/Getty Images “I don’t know how much the committee values it,” Smart said, via On3 .

“They’re looking, I think, through a sample size of, they’re looking at the game on the TV. They’re not at the stadium, hearing the crowd noise, knowing the atmosphere that you’re playing in. It’s very different when you play on the road in our league, I think compared to some other leagues it’s tougher.

” While the Bulldogs have played a very tough schedule, they still have two losses and the committee is looking at some of the other teams who only have one loss ahead of them a bit closely. Still, the Bulldogs have a big opportunity in front of them this Saturday when they host the Tennessee Volunteers. A win over the one-loss Vols would likely get them into the top 10 in next week's rankings, especially if some teams ahead of them lose.

Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
