Born into a family of Kinnera players Mogulaiah’s performance was recognised when he was awarded Padma Shri (2022) for his contributions to the music and preserving folk traditions. His vocals for the title ‘Bheemla Nayak’ were a rage and Mogilaiah was able to get wider acclaim.
