Through Shemeatric Coleman, dean of the Lower Elementary, and museum director Cynthia Grimes, 53 students had the opportunity to learn about historical relics that left them wanting to know more, a news release said.

One student asked, "Did people really drink water from those wells?" Grimes answered in concise details. After the indoor tour, the students, teachers and volunteers moved on to the outdoor small exhibits which included depictions of the past way of life, including a grocery store, a church, a train station and more.
