Kim Soo Hyun and Sulli's 2017 released film Real is back in news with its digital ranking. After 8 years, the film has again secured the No. 4 spot on OTT charts amid Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron dating controversy.

Kim Soo Hyun has been surrounded with a high-profile controversial case after allegations involving an underage relationship with Kim Sae Ron. The late actress' family claims that Kim Soo Hyun was sharing a romantic relationship with Kim Sae Ron when she was just 15 and he was 27. The top Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun and his agency though agreed on having a romantic bond with the late actress but have denied all the allegations surrounding his relationship with Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor.

Amid the on-going controversy, Kim Soo Hyun’s 2017 released film Real has unexpectedly regained the attention of the audience. The film was dropped 8 years ago but is trending on OTT platforms reclaiming one of the top positions. The film showcased an average performance at the initial phase but is experiencing a hike in popularity on OTT platforms, getting back the No.



4 spot on Netflix Korea’s top 10 movies and ranks No. 2 on Coupang Play’s weekly list. As per speculation, Kim Soo Hyun’s prominent controversy has led the public's interest back in the film.

Real is directed by Lee Ro Bae (also known as Lee Sa Rang) who is Kim Soo Hyun’s cousin. The film became one of the most-awaited films at the time of release. However, after the release, the film received massive criticism for the script writing, performance, overexposure of skin, direction, sensual scenes and more.

The film featured Kim Soo Hyun, Sulli, Han Ji Eun, Park Min Jung and others. Real is an action thriller film that revolves around Jan Tae Young, a ruthless problem solver in the criminal underworld who dreams to build a massive casino empire and prevent it from falling in wrong hands, he accepts the offer from an investor. Fueling the on-going controversy, Sulli’s brother claimed that originally the intimate scenes were not mentioned in the script.
