Kim Hye Yoon and Lee Jong Won will be partnering up for a new film together! On April 15, it was confirmed that Kim Hye Yoon and Lee Jong Won will be starring in the upcoming film “Salmokji” (working romanized title). “Salmokji” is a horror movie that follows the story of a filming crew who head to a reservoir to update road-view footage where an unidentified figure was filmed, only to encounter something mysterious in the deep, dark waters. Kim Hye Yoon, who captivated viewers with her hit drama “ Lovely Runner ” last year, will play Soo In, who experiences a series of mysterious events during a business trip to the reservoir.
Having previously won the Best New Actress awards at the 43rd Blue Dragon Film Awards and the 58th Grand Bell Awards for her performance in the film “ The Girl on a Bulldozer ,” anticipation is already high for her latest transformation on the big screen. Lee Jong Won, who impressed across various genres with his performances in “ Brewing Love ” and “ Knight Flower ,” will transform into Ki Tae, who faces the mystery of the reservoir with Soo In. This project will mark his first major commercial film since his debut.
“Salmokji” will be helmed by director Lee Sang Min who won awards at numerous film festivals for his projects including short films “Honor Guard” and “Hamjinabi.” “Salmokji” will begin filming in May.
