In Kill, Lakshya plays the role of Amrit, a stoic army man who has to fight off dacoits on a train. Wishes have been pouring in from all corners for actor Lakshya as he turns 29 today, April 19. The actor made his big screen debut with Karan Johar’s action thriller film Kill and went on to win the IIFA Best Debut Actor (Male) Award 2025 for his performance.
Expressing his heartfelt gratitude to all the fans and admirers for their wishes, he dropped a picture on Instagram with the caption, “Thank you for all your warm wishes." The candid snapshot featured Lakshya with an adorable smile on his face as he looked away from the camera. He wore a blue T-shirt.
As soon as he posted the picture, the comment section was flooded with some more wishes from Lakshya’s fans and admirers. An Instagram user wrote, “Happpiestttt Birthdayyyyy Mr. Handsome.
" Another one commented, “Happiest Birthday Hottest." One of them shared, “Wishing you a wonderful birthday and this year filled with happiness and success." Recently, Lakshya marked his presence at the grand screening of Kesari Chapter 2, held in Mumbai.
The film also features his next co-star, Ananya Panday, in the lead role. Lakshya left everyone impressed with his intense performance and amazing action sequences in Kill. Helmed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt, the film was released in July last year and featured Lakshya as Amrit, a stoic army man who has to fight off dacoits onboard a moving train.
It premiered at Midnight Madness at TIFF 2023 and also featured celebs like Tanya Maniktala, Raghav Juyal, Abhishek Chauhan and Ashish Vidyarthi in pivotal roles. Talking about his upcoming projects, Lakshya will be next seen in the romantic drama film Chand Mera Dil opposite Ananya Panday. Backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Chand Mera Dil, is helmed by Vivek Soni, known for his films like Meenakshi Sundareshwar.
The film is slated to hit the big screens later this year. However, an official date is yet to be confirmed by the makers. Sharing a number of posters of the film earlier this year, Karan wrote in the caption, “We have two chands ready to bring an intense & passionate love story like no other!!! Pyaar mein thoda paagal hona hi padta hai.
