Leicester City have a habit of selling their better players to Chelsea, or at least players that the Stamford Bridge hierarchy believe to be decent. As Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall settles into life at the Bridge after his £30m move from the King Power Stadium, he might do well to reflect on the success - or otherwise - of previous Leicester City midfielders to make the move. On the one hand you have N’Golo Kante , the marauding enforcer of the Foxes' title-winning team who moved on weeks after the Premier League crown had been claimed - and then won it again a year later with the London Blues.

In fact, it is fair to say that Drinkwater was never the same player again. That said, not one of them cared to compare Dewsbury-Hall to his title-winning Leicester predecessors, instead preferring to wish him well, lambast the City hierarchy for selling him, criticise the Premier League for their baffling PSR rules or comment on the style of play Chelsea are likely to witness under the Foxes’ promotion-winning manager Enzo Maresca - while commiserat.
