SPRING into action – Warwickshire’s Country Parks are hosting a series of events and activities in the great outdoors this Easter. Country Parks Rangers will host sessions at Ryton Pools Country Park, Hartshill Hayes Country Park and Kingsbury Water Park, including Easter egg hunts, Easter crafts, pond dipping, minibeast hunts, and toasting hot cross buns over a campfire. Kingsbury and Ryton Pools also have play areas, miniature railways, cafes, bike hires, lakes and pools, and a choice of trails to explore.
Elsewhere, Burton Dassett Hills is perfect for picnics and kite flying, Hartshill Hayes is a haven for woodland walks and picturesque viewpoints, and Offchurch, Stratford and Kenilworth Greenways provide scenic routes through the countryside, with horse-riding available on the latter two. Coun Heather Timms, Warwickshire County Council’s spokesperson for Climate, Culture and Environment, said: “Warwickshire’s country parks provide the perfect low-cost way to get outdoors and make the most of the Easter holidays. “With an exciting programme of ranger-led activities alongside fantastic spaces to explore, there’s no better time to enjoy the benefits of nature, from boosting wellbeing to creating wonderful family memories.
