Former AmaZulu goalkeeper Jean-Noel Amonome is reportedly flirting with the possibility of returning to Mzansi just one year after he left Usuthu as a free agent. It is claimed the 26-year-old is now being weighed up by two teams in Mzansi, although they remain unnamed at this point in time. After joining AmaZulu in January 2020, the shot-stopper was sent out on several loans, including a short spell at Royal Eagles and two stints at Uthongathi.

An unnamed member of Gabon's technical staff has admitted they are monitoring Amonome's situation, telling : "Jean-Noel Amonome is being followed very closely by us, he is a boy that the coach knows very well, and we know that he can help us and bring his experience during the next meetings of the Panthers of Gabon. "We are attentive to his situation and we hope that, by then, he finds a club." The goalkeeper has 15 caps for Gabon to date, and was the country's No.
