Kia Seltos Sales Drop 28% In FY2025, Creta Up By 20%

GaadiWaadi -In the top 10 midsize SUVs for FY2025, Hyundai Creta led the way ahead of Scorpio, Grand Vitara, XUV700 and SeltosIn FY25, the midsize SUV market saw plenty of action as some models gained momentum while others faced declines. The Hyundai Creta maintained its lead, selling 1,94,871 units, as it marked a 20 per cent increase compared to the same period the previous financial year. The healthy growth reiterated Creta’s top spot, outpacing competitors by a wide margin.

The Mahindra Scorpio claimed second place in the period between April 2024 and March 2025, registering 1,64,842 units as it ensured a 17 per cent rise over the previous fiscal year. Its consistent performance reflects enduring customer preference for the nameplate which is available as the Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N.The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara took third with 1,23,946 units sold as it saw a modest 2 per cent increase over FY24 and is one of the three midsize SUVs to record over one lakh unit sales last fiscal year.

Kia Seltos, once a strong contender, saw a significant drop in sales, falling 28 per cent to 72,618 units.

In FY24, the five-seater registered over one lakh units.The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder saw a 23 per cent surge, reaching 36,858 units last FY as its deliveries improved big time and being available in strong hybrid and mild hybrid trims helped it to reach plenty of buyers. The Tata Curvv SUV coupe made a solid debut, contributing 34,019 units in its first financial year.
