Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) is launching a new export support brand called 'SINBAD' to systematically assist small to medium-sized nuclear companies in entering the global market. 'SINBAD' stands for 'SME International Networking & Business Advancement for Global Development' and is a comprehensive support program designed to strengthen the export capabilities and overseas networking of small nuclear enterprises. Through this initiative, KHNP aims to help domestic companies secure a competitive edge and play a leading role in the global nuclear market.

The program will first enhance a 'Country-Specific Customized Export Support' strategy tailored to the characteristics and needs of different countries' nuclear industries. Notably, a new 'Czech Nuclear Specialized Serpa Support Program' will be established to provide one-stop support that includes obtaining quality certifications (ISO19443), local market analysis, and strategy development for entering the Czech market. Connections with overseas buyers will also become more robust.

In collaboration with related organizations such as the Korea Nuclear Industry Association and the Korea Nuclear Export Industry Association, marketing efforts will be intensified. Additionally, at the upcoming Nuclear Industry Annual Conference to be held on April 29-30 at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul, an 'Overseas Buyer Invitation Zone' will be set up to facilitate direct consultations between domestic companies and international clients. Notable participating buyers include global companies such as TerraPower from the U.

S. and TES Vsetin from the Czech Republic. Furthermore, to eliminate barriers that first-time exporters frequently encounter—such as certification, language, and administrative procedures—a 'One-Stop Export Platform' will be expanded in conjunction with KOTRA's export voucher program this year.

KHNP plans to diversify its export markets to North America, Europe, and Asia. Following previous efforts in Japan and France, the company intends to send a 'Market Development Team' to Canada in June to intensify its pursuit of new markets. "SINBAD is the largest export support program from a public enterprise aimed at equipping domestic small to medium-sized nuclear companies with the capabilities to export and assist them in entering global markets throughout the entire value chain," said KHNP President Hwang Joo-ho.

"We will continue to provide thorough support to help these companies grow into globally competitive small enterprises.".
