KFRL holds grand finals

The Kiunga Rugby Football League (KFRL) held an exciting final yesterday, Sunday, October 27, 2024. Six teams participated: Fly Warriors, Waliya, Kiunga Storms, Brothers, Magani, and Kiunga Tigers. In the semifinals, Brothers narrowly lost to Magani, with a score of 6-4.

Fly Warriors triumphed over Waliya 10-6, and Magani fell to Kiunga Storms, with Storms winning 12-4. The final matchup saw Waliya defeating Kiunga Storms 12-4 to secure a spot against Fly Warriors. The grand final was fiercely contested, with Fly Warriors emerging victorious over Waliya, winning 10-4.



Following the match, KFRL held a presentation ceremony to celebrate the achievements. The presentation was done by the District Administrator, Mr. Greg Isau.
