The Tampa Bay Buccaneers ' defense managed to hold its own without nose tackle Vita Vea last week in its 20-16 win over the Detroit Lions at Ford Field. It looks like they're going to have to find a way to do it again on Sunday when the Denver Broncos come to town. Vea was listed as doubtful on the final injury report released on Friday afternoon by the team.

That's despite finally managing to get a limited practice under his belt for the first time on Friday. Vea joins a list of five players who have been ruled out or are listed as doubtful for the contest. Todd Bowles announced earlier on Friday that RT Luke Goedeke is still out while dealing with his recovery from a concussion, as are S Antoine Winfield, Jr.

(foot) and DL Calijah Kancey (calf). WR Kameron Johnson is also listed as doubtful along with Vea. As such, the Bucs will have to see if they can get a better performance out of their right tackle spot than they got last week from Justin Skule , who allowed 3 sacks last week against the Lions.

On the positive side of things, RB Rachaad White (groin) and DL Logan Hall (knee) both upgrade their practice reps on Friday from limited to full participation, and both enter the game without an injury designation. CB Jamel Dean also avoided a designation after his second straight full practice. It looks like DL William Gholston and CB Josh Hayes will have their statuses determined on Sunday, as they're listed as questionable.

The Bucs and Broncos meet on Sunday at 1:00 pm ET at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. This article first appeared on A to Z Sports and was syndicated with permission..
