New Delhi: Indian-origin executive Kevan Parekh has assumed office as the chief financial officer of Apple , replacing Luca Maestri , who had been serving as the iPhone maker's CFO since 2014. Parekh, who has been with Apple since 2013, is now responsible for overseeing the firm's accounting, business support, financial planning and analysis, treasury, investor relations, internal audit and tax functions as its CFO.
He has played a key role in Apple's financial and business planning, and product development planning as its vice president of financial planning and analysis. Before that, he served as Apple's vice president of worldwide finance, working across different functions including engineering, iTunes, marketing, retail and sales. "For more than a decade, Kevan has been an indispensable member of Apple's finance leadership team, and he understands the company inside and out," Apple CEO Tim Cook said.
