Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who is gearing up for the release of historical drama Kesari: Chapter 2, recently reacted to the viral video of Caroline Dyer, granddaughter of British Army officer General Dyer, who ordered the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Here's what he added after Karan Johar's comment.

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who is set to headline the much-anticipated historical film Kesari: Chapter 2, has broken his silence on the viral video of Caroline Dyer. For those unfamiliar, she is the granddaughter of General Dyer, the British officer responsible for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. In the video, she controversially claimed that the innocent people gathered there were "looters," sparking widespread outrage online.

Akshay addressed her remarks shortly after producer Karan Johar shared his response during a press conference. During her chat with a victim's kin, she even went on to say, "I think history is history and you’ve got to accept that.



" When asked his take on this, Karan didn’t hold back. He slammed Dyer's granddaughter for her tone-deaf remark. An angry KJo said, “She is living in a lala land of her own and in some delusion.

.. The fact that she even said those things boiled my blood," he added.

Meanwhile, Akshay weighed in by adding, “One nation’s trauma is another nation’s lesson. That is what she never understood and kept saying history is history. I appreciate what Karan said and the way he said it.

" Kesari: Chapter 2 The sequel to Akshay Kumar’s hit 2019 film is based on the legal battle that followed the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, which took place on April 13, 1919, in Amritsar, India. During the bloodshed, General Dyer ordered his troops to open fire on a crowd of unarmed Indian civilians, including women and children, without warning. The film is a courtroom drama centered around renowned Indian barrister Sir Chettur Sankaran Nair, who challenged the British Empire in the aftermath of the tragedy.
