Kerrier Male Choir celebrate 80 years of song and music

Kerrier Male Choir are celebrating 80 years of song and music, and to start the year they have a Cornish and Country evening at Wendron Cricket and Football Club, Underlane, Carnkie, on Friday, April 4 at 7.30pm.

Les Scott, from St Ives, is well known as a country, folk, and gospel singer, and together with Kerrier Male Choir, singing Cornish, shanties, and trad music, the evening promises to be an exciting mix. The compere for the evening is Kerrier Male Choir's MD Janette Eathorne, and the accompanist is Elizabeth Tremayne. Tickets cost £5, which includes light refreshments.

There is also a raffle with great prizes. Tickets are available at the door on the night. On Saturday, April 26, the Mousehole Male Choir will be joining Kerrier Male Choir for a celebratory concert.



The first time in the two choirs' history that they have sung together. Helston Old Cattle Market is the venue and the tickets are £7.50, and the concert starts at 7.

30pm. The choir practises at Wendron School on Monday nights at 7pm, when everyone can come, listen or join in the singing..
