png" }, "articleBody": "After a break that spanned a couple of months, Rwandan rapper Kenny Rulisa, popularly known as Kenny K-Shot, is back on the spotlight and he has opened his own record label known as Intare Sound Wave Initiative. K-shot, who is part of a game-changers generation that transformed Rwanda’s rap scene, launches the music house, days after the release of his debut album “Intare 2.0,” which features some of the best artistes of his generation.

Xeventeen & Loverboy have already been signed under the label and, according to K-Shot, more young talents will join as the label grows into a bigger music hub. These are young boys but have the potential to go as far as possible,” said K-Shot in an interview. “The purpose of creating my label is not that I have a great ability to do it but the desire to be independent and help others in that way of independence,” he added. Another thing, he said, both artistes signed under Intare Sound Wave Initiative management line drew inspiration from his music which is one of the reasons he feels entitled to push them.

“Intare 2.0 is a call for the Rwanda of tomorrow to be strong, courageous and strive to be independent without waiting for external help inspired by RPF and their resilience,” said the artiste. The album is named after K-Shot’s second Mixtape ‘Intare.
’ He said the whole tape is about what he has been going through in the past two years through a rollercoaster of emotions and also keeping the message of being fearless, resilient, courageous and independent which is also related to opening own record label. “My album and record label share the same mission, but more like leading by example and not waiting for others to come exploit me but instead having an initiative spirit to help myself and other talented individuals,” the rapper noted. The album comprises 13 songs mainly produced by Ehlers while the likes of Juni Quickly, Cysron, Pro Zed also contributed to its production.
It features youngsters including Kivumbi King, Pro Zed, Bruce the First, Arnaud Gray, Hollix, Xeventeen and Loverboy. Intare 2.0 is available on all major streaming platforms.
