NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener and former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal will contest the assembly elections to be held next year. Kejriwal's name is in the final list of candidates released by the party. He will contest from the New Delhi constituency.

Chief Minister Atishi will contest from Kalkaji. Gopal Rai, Satyendra Kumar Jain and Durgesh Pathak also figured in the final list of 38 candidates. Minister Saurav Bhardwaj will contest from Greater Kailash.

Gopal Rai will contest from Babarpur and Durgesh Pathak from Rajinder Nagar. The elections are scheduled for February 2025. The party will be contesting in 70 seats.

AAP has already announced candidates for all the seats. Meantime, Arvind Kejriwal said that Aam Aadmi Party will contest alone on its own strength. ‘The party will contest with full confidence and preparedness.

Aam Aadmi Party has a clear vision regarding the development of Delhi and its people. We have many plans and educated leaders to implement it. Delhiites vote for those who work for it and not for those abusing power,’ he clarified.
