Hey y’all! Welcome to Keep Your Fork! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Bethany Parsons. My husband is Adam Parsons, the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Tribune.

We have one daughter, Callie-Ann, who is 13 years-old. I would be in trouble if I didn’t mention our amazing pup, Daisy Mae! She is the calm to our storm on a lot of days..

. that is, when she isn’t eating pillows. I wanted to take this time to share with you a little about myself, as well as some ideas that I have coming.

I was born and raised in the small, historical town of Rogersville, TN. I am blessed to still have my grandmothers and my mother that continue to live here. I did move away for college and a couple of years when Adam and I were first married, but I always knew Rogersville was the place for my family.

Fast forward a few years, and we were blessed with Miss Callie-Ann. Callie-Ann is in 7th grade and is extremely involved in the local 4-H, 4-H Honor Club, various softball teams, and many other activities. She definitely keeps us busy, but I am extremely proud of her outgoing personality.

I taught PreK-12th special education for 13 years. I had the opportunity to go back to school, and that’s what I did! I have degrees in Modified/Comprehensive Special Education, Curriculum & Instruction, and Educational Psychology. I currently work at Health Connect America in Morristown.

I absolutely LOVE my job! Every Saturday, I have the pleasure of providing you with a special cooking article. I will have everything from basic southern specialties, to canning tips and tricks, to family hand-me downs that are holiday staples for our family. I look forward to bringing a smile to your face as you begin your weekend and possibly providing you with a new favorite recipe to pass down for generations to come.

And as always...

Bless your heart and Keep your fork!.
