Pune: Deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday accused senior MVA politicians of creating hurdles for the Mukhyamantri Mazhi Ladki Bahin scheme that guarantees a monthly income of Rs 1,500 for women under certain financial and age categories. "MVA has a political rivalry against us (Mahayuti). But do not take revenge for that rivalry against women of the state," he said at a rally in Pune's Parvati constituency.

A few hours later, while speaking at another event, Fadnavis called NCP(SCP) chief Sharad Pawar the owner of a "fake narrative-producing factory" and his daughter and Baramati MP Supriya its director. "Recently, a factory of fake narrative has been opened, and I am shocked that senior politician Sharad Pawar is behaving like its owner," the deputy CM said at a rally for BJP's Chinchwad candidate Shankar Jagtap. The BJP politician further said that Pawar is often claiming industries are relocating from Maharashtra to elsewhere, which is not true.

"Such kind of fake narrative is not expected from a politician like Pawar." Refuting MVA's claim that industries are shifting their bases to Gujarat, Fadnavis said, "I am surprised that Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray are speaking like spokespersons of Gujarat. The Gujarat govt does not even have to spend on its advertisement.

The opposition claimed 16 companies had relocated from Maharashtra, but the truth is 13 of them had shifted during MVA's tenure, and the remaining three had moved to cities such as Nagpur and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar during our govt." At the Parvati rally, where he campaigned for BJP candidate Madhuri Misal, Fadnavis targetted Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray. "Thackeray in his recent speech openly said he would discontinue all the schemes started by Mahayuti.

However, it will not happen as Mahayuti will form the govt again." Attacking the erstwhile MVA regime for delaying projects related to Pune city, the deputy CM said, "Pune Metro should have been operational a long time ago. However, the UPA govt did not have the willpower to execute plans.

They only gave promises but failed to deliver on them. When I became chief minister, we held a meeting with union transport minister Nitin Gadkari and fast-tracked it, making it the fastest metro project in the country to become operational." Fadnavis also said Slum Rehabilitation Authority and riverfront development projects started by Mahayuti will help Pune's development.
