Published: November 21, 2024 12:47 PM IST By The famous quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 is still one of the most loved shows on television. Hosted by none other than Amitabh Bachchan, the show has featured various contestants over the last 16 seasons. The latest episode of KBC featured contestant Nishant Jaiswal, who continued with his gameplay.

Interestingly, Jaiswal reached the question worth Rs 50 lakh, but at the last moment, he decided to call it quits. The show began when Big B asked Nishant about the importance of money. He replied, “My father had a meagre salary.

Whatever he used to earn, he spent it on our education. If I win money here, I want to better our lives.” As his answer left Big B emotional, the actor then presented him with the next question: “Which photographer, who clicked pictures of Gandhiji in real life, was played by Candice Bergen in the Oscar-winning movie Gandhi? A.

Homai Vyarawalla, B. Elizabeth Miller, C. Gerda Taro, D.

Margaret Bourke-White.” The question left Nishant baffled, and he opted for the video call-a-friend lifeline. However, that did not help much.

Nishant made another guess after quitting the show and picked option D. Interestingly, at that same time, the option turned out to be correct. Had Nishant stayed in the game, he would have won Rs 50 lakh.

However, since he had already called it quits before answering, he took home Rs 25 lakh. Following Nishant’s departure, another contestant, Shobha Devi from Raebareilly, Uttar Pradesh, joined after the Fastest Finger First round. When she sat on the hot seat, Shobha Devi became emotional and teary-eyed.

Big B later offered her water and took care of her. Meanwhile, KBC remains one of the most loved quiz shows. There are often times when special guests also make appearances on the show to promote their films.

The show has been hosted by Amitabh Bachchan since 2000, with the exception of the third season in 2007, which was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan. For breaking news and live news updates, like us on or follow us on and . Read more on Latest on .
