Katy Perry, Gayle King and Lauren Sanchez are among the passengers who are heading out into space as part of the exciting Blue Origin all-female mission

Katy Perry is among the passengers on the Blue Origin all-female space mission - and it's a trip she would have "had a hard time saying no." The 40-year-old singer will join talk show host Gayle King and Jeff Bezos' partner Lauren Sanchez as they head into space after taking off at Blue Origin’s West Texas launch site . Also onboard is bioastronautics research scientist Amanda Nguyen, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe and film producer Kerianne Flynn.

The trip is a once in a lifetime opportunity and PR expert Ryan McCormick believes Katy would have jumped at the chance . Speaking exclusively to The Mirror US, he said, "From a PR perspective, this event will generate widespread positive reception." McCormick continued, "Fans of these influential women will feel even more connected to them.

Merging celebrity visibility with space exploration is a bold, attention-grabbing move that could captivate public imagination." The PR expert concluded, "While not everyone gets the opportunity to do something historic, this mission offers each participant a once-in-a-lifetime narrative. A stunt like this guarantees attention - something famous people may have a hard time saying no to.

" His comments were echoed by PR expert Kieran Elsby, who said the stunt is likely the start of an ambitious plan from Bezos. He explained, "Space is the final frontier, doing something so rare and headline-grabbing still has huge media attention, especially in an age where attention is a real currency." He added, "I think Jeff Bezos has broader ambitions, like providing global internet access, something most people currently associate with Starlink.

So yes, he needs attention grabbing headlines like this to shift perception and break into that space." As for why the trip is being done by celebrities, Elsby suggested, "Cash buys access, it always has. Whether it's an oil baron buying a football club or a car manufacturer getting political in the states, wealth opens doors.

Space is no different." He concluded, "Both parties gain increased visibility, whether Jeff Bezos or Katy Perry, it’s a win, win and Jeff will write off any fees as tax deductible, although I don’t he will give a second thought to the actual cost, as he will make it back within a day or two."
