Katy Perry is making another dream come true. She's among the all-female space crew that goes to space Tuesday (Philippine time). On Instagram, the American pop star shared here excitement, saying "I've dreamt of going to space for 15 years and tomorrow that dream becomes a reality.
" "I'm so honored to be alongside 5 other incredible and inspiring women as we become the first ever all-female flight space crew," she continued, as she tagged her crew mates media personality Gayle King, scientists Aisha Bowe and Amanda Nguyen, journalist Lauren Sanchez — who also happens to be Jazz Bezos' fiancee — and film producer Kerianne Flynn. The private space flight is considered historic as it the first all-female flight since 1963 when Russian astronaut Valentina Tereshkova went on a solo flight to space. In her video, Katy shared a quick tour of the rocket that will have them in flight in space for just about 11 minutes.
NS-31 will be launched from Western Texas and according to Elle Magazine , each of the six female crew will be able to "enjoy the flight as passengers." A post shared by KATY PERRY (@katyperry) "Once they reach space, they'l be able to float around the rocket, experiencing weightlessness and looking out the windows at the universe and Earth below for about four minutes before coming back down," the magazine continued. The flight is called NS-31, meaning it is the 31st mission of the rocket New Shepard.
