Katrina Halili, Dion Ignacio share they're 'gigil' to have a healthier lifestyle

The Oxford English Dictionary added around 600 new words in its March 2025 update, including 11 Filipino words. Among them is the “gigil,” which, while originally Tagalog, is now used in Philippine English.The dictionary described “gigil” as an intense feeling that gives people the irresistible urge to tightly clench their hands, grit their teeth, and pinch whomever or whatever they find adorable and cute.

During the Kapuso Mall Show on March 30, GMANetwork.com asked Mommy Dearest stars Katrina Halili and Dion Ignacio what makes them “gigil” in connection to the GMA Afternoon Prime's current campaign.According to both stars, their main focus right now is their health and fitness to help them tackle the strenuous work of being an actor and parents.



Dion shared, “Habang tumatanda, parang gusto kong mas magpalakas ng katawan para sa family ko. Para 'pag malakas ka, makakapagtaping ka pa, makakapagtrabaho ka pa.”The StarStruck alumnus shared that he's currently enjoying running and would even join in fun runs from time to time.

“'Pag wala akong trabaho, wala tayong taping, talagang [takbo].
