Kathy Griffin has revealed that she recently underwent a hysterectomy. “Happy Monday! I had a hysterectomy on Friday,” the comedian, 64, wrote via Instagram on Monday, April 7. “That’s right they took out the uterus, the fallopian tubes & the ovaries.
Pre-cancerous [sic], blah blah blah.” While Griffin didn’t expand on her condition, she announced that she will share additional details on her Patreon page at a later time. “Not to be an a**hole, but how do I NOT have a reality show to capture all of this???” she joked.

Be patient with yourself.

” This isn’t Griffin’s first experience with cancer. In August 2021, the actress was diagnosed with Stage 1 lung cancer . She underwent surgery to remove a portion of her left lung.
“Yes, I have lung cancer even though I’ve never smoked!” she wrote via Instagram at the time ahead of going into surgery. “Hopefully no chemo or radiation after this and I should have normal function with my breathing. I should be up and running around as usual in a month or less.
It’s been a helluva 4 years, trying to get back to work, making you guys laugh and entertaining you, but I’m gonna be just fine.” As Griffin began her recovery, she opened up about her fears of a potential relapse with prescription medication following her 2020 overdose. “I now know I can do this and anything I want without those devil pills,” she reflected in August 2021.
