New Salem Katherine Ann Rosinsky, 98 years young, of New Salem, passed Thursday, March 13, 2025. She was born June 12, 1926, in Herbert, a daughter of the late Steve and Katherine Hose Hmura. Katherine will join again with her devoted husband, Robert J.
Rosinsky (1926-2019), completing 70 years of a happy marriage. Katherine was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Cinnamo and Mary Kraus; and four brothers, John Hmura, Joe Hmura, Albert Hmura and Frank Hmura. Left to treasure Katherine’s memory is her surviving son, Jerome Rosinsky.
Katherine was Catholic by faith, a lifetime member of St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, now St. Francis of Assisi R.
C. Church of Footedale. She worked for Burkowitz Sewing Factory in Uniontown and Bryan Sewing Factory of New Salem until her retirement.
A note of thanks to the compassionate and caring help given to her by the Amedisys Hospice staff and nurses, along with the entire staff at Bella Healthcare Center in Uniontown. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Sunday, March 16, in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, and again Monday, March 17, until 9:30 a.m. when a prayer service will be held.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St.
Francis of Assisi R.C. Church of Footedale, with entombment following in LaFayette Memorial Park.
