The Royal Family are renowned for their commitment to maintaining good health, with regular exercise and a balanced diet being key. The late Queen was particularly known for her preference for simple meals packed with fruits and vegetables, rather than dishes laden with heavy sauces. Another royal who leads an impressively healthy lifestyle is the Princess of Wales .

However, during her pregnancy with her third child, Prince Louis, she reportedly had some unusual food cravings. Prince William and Kate welcomed their son Louis Arthur Charles at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington on April 23, 2018. It's well-documented that Kate faced numerous challenges during her pregnancies, including a brief hospitalisation due to severe morning sickness, Hyperemesis Gravidarum, before the birth of Prince George in 2013.

Like many expectant mothers, Kate also had some peculiar food cravings, which included a fondness for spicy foods and curries. But perhaps the most unusual was her reported craving for thinly sliced pickle on brown toast. Kate also reportedly consumed avocado to help manage her morning sickness.

During a Royal visit in 2017, Prince William was even presented with an avocado by a young boy whose mother was also suffering from morning sickness. During a visit, a young boy gifted William an avocado, to which he responded: "I've never been given an avocado before. That's really sweet of you.

Catherine will love the avocado." As for Kate's snacking preferences, she tends to opt for nutritious options like raw fruits and vegetables, including goji berries, which are rich in immune-boosting properties. She also enjoys popcorn as a low-calorie snack, as long as it's not overly sugary.

However, her go-to snack is reportedly olives, a preference she shares with Princess Charlotte. This was revealed during a 2018 visit to Great Ormond Street Hospital, where she bonded with a four year old patient over their shared love of olives, saying: "I used to eat lots and lots of olives when I was little as well." Before she took a step back to focus on her recovery and cancer treatment, the Princess of Wales would frequently speak about her three young children during her public engagements.

While visiting Lavender Primary School, Catherine shared that her children love to help their mum out in the kitchen and enjoy getting their hands messy and working together. Their speciality is cheesy pasta, which they all have designated jobs in making. “One stirs the flour, one puts the milk and butter in,” Matthew Kleiner-Mann, chief executive of the Ivy Learning Trust, said after a visit to the school in 2019.

She was telling us how much her children love cooking and how they cook for her,” he added..
