Kate's family is mentioned and this seems to make her more nervous than actually speaking about the royals.

" Bradby then asked William and Kate about their parents' reactions to the engagement news. William admitted his initial uncertainty about whether to ask Kate's father for permission first. He expressed his fear of being turned down, so he decided to propose to Kate first, ensuring her father couldn't "really say no".

At this point, James pointed out that Kate seemed to be "feeling a little bit awkward". She said: “We can see her swallow. She sucks her lips in and that usually is a sign of a lack of desire to talk at that particular point, maybe feeling a little bit awkward, maybe even a little bit anxious.

" She also observed: “We begin to see a finger tap. Now, a finger tap usually means a little bit of impatience and I’d probably prefer you to move on from this particular subject." Mike Carter, another body language expert, commented on Kate's demeanor as well, suggesting that she "hesitates" and appears "very cautious" during the interaction.

He specifically pointed out her lip-licking, which he perceived as a sign of nervousness.
