Qatar tribune Tribune News Network Doha The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) continued its distinguished Eid Al-Fitr celebrations on Tuesday. The third day of the celebrations witnessed a large turnout of people of all ages and nationalities, reflecting Katara’s position as a major destination for celebrations. Salem Mabkhout Al Marri, director of Public Relations and Communication at Katara, said: “The public has become accustomed to everything new and beautiful from Katara.
Therefore, we at Katara are keen to provide everything that suits the audience, regardless of their interests and backgrounds. There are musical performances that attract many visitors, in addition to the play, competitions, and Katara’s Eid gift, which constitute the most important event for children.” He added, “The Cultural Village Foundation, with all its facilities and spaces, has become a destination for families at all times, especially during the holidays, where they can find all means of entertainment and relaxation, from the beach and hills, to the diverse restaurants and cafes located throughout the area.

‘Freej’ aims to revive Qatari heritage and introduce visitors, including citizens, residents, and tourists, to traditional life in Qatar in the past, through live scenes that reflect the authenticity of Qatari customs and traditions in an environment that mimics neighbourhoods of the past in every detail. For lovers of traditional cuisine, ‘Fereej Katara’ offers them the opportunity to taste the most delicious Qatari dishes, which carry the flavour of the past and the fragrance of heritage. The Thuraya Planetarium’s shows were well attended, featuring a variety of 3D displays on astronomy, stars, and space, which were well received by the audience. The Oud Nights, organised by the Katara Oud Center, also attracted art and music lovers.
