Read More Manish Goel has been a staple on Indian television for over two decades, with notable roles in shows like Bhabhi, Hamari Wali Good News, and currently Anupamaa . The actor will portray the intriguing and complex character of Raghav in the ongoing show. But his journey wasn’t one of overnight success.

Recalling the early days, he shared in a recent interview, “The time when I started, I used to stand in the background, hoping someone would notice and say, ‘Give this guy a line; he will deliver it.’ My first project was Just Mohabbat." His first major breakthrough as a lead came with Bhabhi, a role he landed due to the appreciation he received for performances in Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Mehndi Tere Naam Ki and Ghar Ek Mandir.

One thing that sets Manish Goel apart in the industry is his versatility. “After that, I did many lead roles, and what makes me even happier is that I was never stereotyped. I played a guy who is a hero and has humour, then in Saara Akaash, I played a pilot.

Devi was another unique experience, where I got to portray both an antagonist and a protagonist. I have always played varied roles and was never stuck doing one particular kind of character," he said during an interview with ETimes. Before stepping into Anupamaa, Manish Goel had already made a mark with Just Mohabbat, CID, Ghar Ek Mandir, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and Mehndi Tere Naam Ki, among others.

Despite his extensive work in the industry, he has openly admitted that his journey was far from easy. In an earlier conversation with ETimes, he shared how he faced numerous struggles before getting the recognition he deserved. Currently, Anupamaa features an ensemble cast including Rupali Ganguly, Adrija Roy, Shivam Khajuria, Alpana Buch, Arvind Vaidya, Manish Naggdev, Miloni Kapadia, Krutika Desai, Varun Kasturia and Zalak Desai in key roles.

Even after all these years, Goel remains passionate about his craft, constantly looking to grow. “When I step onto a set, I completely surrender myself—to my director, to the script. My only goal is to elevate the scene beyond what’s written," he reflects.
