Karimnagar: Teen refuses to stay in hostel, jumps from building

A girl, 14, studying in Class VIII at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, jumped from her hostel building as she was forcibly sent to the hostel by her parents in Vernapalli mandal of Rajanna Sircilla district on Saturday. According to sources, the student, a native of Maddipalli village, was admitted to KGBV school two years back by her parents who are from poor background. A few days back, she went to her house and refused to come back to the hostel.

But her parents convinced her to go, saying they will bring her back during Dussehra holidays. On Friday night, she came out of her hostel room and suddenly jumped from the hostel building. Since she stayed on the first floor she did not receive major injuries.



The school staff immediately shifted her to a private hospital where she was undergoing treatment..
