The fashion calendar has been packed this past week. From the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show making a comeback after a 6-year break, to ongoing Diwali preparations taking over our feeds. So naturally, a bevvy of high fashion moments across the board have presented themselves.
While Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt served opulent Indian wear, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Beyoncé leaned on sharp tailoring. There's no denying that Beyoncé sets the standard when it comes to glam, but this time, she swapped her signature high-glam looks for a sleek, tailored moment. Sporting a structured black coat over a crisp white shirt and black tie she paired a bold red belt cinched her waist, adding a pop of colour to the look.
To go with it, she slipped into wide-leg black trousers and stiletto heels. Turns out, Beyoncé wasn't the only one in her affinity for tailored pieces this week. Stars like Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Richa Chadha also embraced sharp silhouettes in their outfits.
Prabhu chose a striking blazer dress featuring a sheer, embellished skirt, while Chadha made a statement in a chic burgundy co-ord suit with a matching skirt. What else was in this week? Bodycons. Priyanka Chopra sported a one-piece jumpsuit in a twisted houndstooth design paired with fleece-encrusted and quilted tie-up calf-length boots.
On the other end, Kiara Advani stepped out in a dreamy ivory bodycon dress featuring a ruched texture. But here’s where the glamour truly unfolds, and our It girls are seizing the moment. On one end, Alia Bhatt aced a moment in red by wearing a sari from the shelves of the clothing label Torani.
She stepped into a Sindoori Nayantara Ambika Sari Set silk organza sari featuring hand adda work, intricate gold sequin embellishments, and zardozi work on the scalloped borders. On the other side, Kareena Kapoor Khan opted for a royal purple creation from Anamika Khanna, an opulent lehenga featuring intricate hand embroidery in shades of gold, green, and red. She paired the blouse and heavily adorned skirt with a gold-bordered dupatta, which was elegantly draped over her shoulder for a striking finish.
