Karan Johar is reportedly set to embark on a new venture by directing his first big-budget web series for Netflix. Known for his impactful films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, and My Name Is Khan, Johar is now poised to bring his distinctive directorial flair to the digital streaming platform. According to reports, Johar will take on the role of showrunner for this yet-to-be-titled project, which is slated to begin production in the first quarter of 2025.

The web series is set to feature a female-led ensemble cast and is anticipated to be one of Netflix’s most ambitious projects to date. Being a Karan Johar show, this is expected to be Netflix’s marquee project, with shooting planned throughout 2025 and a release in 2026," the source added. Meanwhile, Karan Johar is also busy promoting his upcoming film, Jigra, co-produced with Alia Bhatt, who also stars in the film alongside Vedang Raina. The film is is scheduled for release on October 11.
