Kapit Che Quan Khor members, families gather to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival

Kapit Che Quan Khor members gather for a group photo to commemorate the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration. KAPIT (Sept 20): Members of Kapit Che Quan Khor Moral Uplifting Society gathered at its premises Wednesday evening to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. Society chairman Kapitan Kong Cheak He said the event was aimed at bringing together members and their families to celebrate the annual festival and make new friends.

He also thanked members for their strong support, saying their monetary donations throughout the years have enabled the Society to organise various welfare activities to help those in need. “Thanks to you, we have been able to help lessen the burden of lower-income families by providing them with food baskets, back-to-school assistance and more. “This is in line with our mission to assist those less fortunate than us,” said Kong in his speech.



Among those present were Kapit Che Quan Khor Women chief Tan Su Hung and Youth chief Chua Chong Han. The highlight of the evening was the cutting of mooncakes as well as lion dance performances by the Society’s troupe..
