Kanpur-Prayagraj highway robbery case: Cops arrest 4, recover cash, pistol

Police arrested four robbers in Fatehpur. The robbers had looted cash and a mobile phone from a man on the Kanpur-Prayagraj highway. Police recovered Rs 81,410 cash, a country-made pistol, and a car from the robbers. The robbers were identified as Mohd Mehtab, Toaif Khan, Sandeep Kumar Verma, and Arbaaz.

PRAYAGRAJ: A joint team of Thariyaon police and SOG of Fatehpur police on Thursday arrested four robbers identified as Mohd Mehtab (22), Toaif Khan (19), Sandeep Kumar Verma (19), and Arbaaz (20), all residents of Pratapgarh who had allegedly looted cash and mobile from a man. Cops also recovered Rs 81,410 cash, one country-made pistol of 0.315 bore along with two live cartridges, one car, two phones, and a red diary from their possession.

These car-borne robbers looted Rs 1.56 lakh cash and a mobile from a man at gunpoint on the Kanpur-Prayagraj highway on November 6. After registering an FIR under appropriate sections of BNS, the joint team of Thariyaon and SOG arrested the robbers involved in the incident near Fatehpur road.
