Nollywood veteran actor Kanayo O Kanayo. recently shared his thoughts on men’s roles in relationships, emphasizing the importance of being the provider. The actor posted a video addressing the growing trend of men relying on women for financial support, which he labeled “useless and dangerous.

” He said: “I woke up this morning troubled by a disturbing trend. When a man depends on a woman to feed him, the most concerning part is that women often defend their husbands, trying to hide what’s going on at home. This can harm the man’s growth.

” Kanayo stressed the traditional role of men in providing for their families, asserting that a man must fulfill his responsibilities. “Every man is responsible for his family. A man who cannot provide for his family is failing.

If you can’t feed your family, you have no business being intimate with a woman. Women often cover for their husbands, but it’s crucial for men to step up,” he said. Addressing women, he urged them to make careful choices in marriage, warning that constantly defending men could enable irresponsibility.

“This is my advice to women: be mindful of who you marry. I know love is important, but provision is key. Even if he loses his job, if he doesn’t strive or hustle like other men, defending him only makes him more irresponsible,” Kanayo added.
