Well, recently, in conversation with News18’s Rising Bharat Summit 2025, Kajol mentioned that she is one of the least working actors in the industry. She also explained why she chose to work less. Speaking at the summit, Kajol said, “I am the least worked actor in the whole film industry.

" And when asked if she is choosy or lazy? The actress, “Dono. I choose to be lazy. I choose to have a slower life.

I choose to enjoy my life as along with working. I think working should be part of my life not apart of my life. And every which way I have found a balance to life.

Recently, Kajol dropped the first motion poster of her upcoming mythological film titled ‘Maa’. The film has been helmed by Vishal Furia, known for previously directing Nushrratt Bharuccha-led horror film ‘Chhorii’, Pankaj Tripathi starrer series ‘Criminal Justice’, among others. The first look of ‘Maa’ shows Kajol as a fierce mother, trying to protect her daughter, played by Kherin Sharma.

The film also features Ronit Roy and Indraneil Sengupta in pivotal roles. The motion poster shows a scared yet determined Kajol holding her teenage daughter protectively in her arms. Both Kajol and Kherin Shatma’s characters seem injured in the first look poster of the film.

The poster shows the devil on one side, and the goddess on the other, highlighting the battle between good and evil. The intense background music further adds to the intrigue of the poster. Maa is all set to release in theatres on 27 th June, 2025.
