Kaizer Chiefs’ transfer target Lungelo Nguse could soon leave Golden Arrows . The 25-year-old striker had a breakout season with the KZN-based team scoring five goals in the 2023/24 season. Before the start of the current season, Amakhosi were one of the teams interested in the former AmaTuks star.

Nguse’s agent Mike Makaab says the striker brings something different to a team which makes him special. “He is under contract at Arrows, there has been interest in him and I like him as a player, I rate him as a player. I think he brings something different to a football club.

He’s a big, strong striker,” Makaab told FARPost . “And I don’t have to tell you, big strikers are disappearing from the scene at an alarming rate, and when you’ve got a big striker, it just gives you another option.” Kaizer Chiefs target might leave Arrows soon “So I think he’s a really talented player, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Golden Arrows get real interest in Lungelo Nguse in the next couple of months,” he said.

Stellenbosch FC are another team monitoring Nguse ahead of the January transfer period. If Kaizer Chiefs don’t make an offer, Stellies might just look to bring him in having lost Iqraam Rayners to Mamelodi Sundowns. Nguse, nicknamed Mbesuma, has admitted that the former Kaizer Chiefs star was his role model.

“My role model? It has to be [Collins] Mbesuma,” Nguse told FARPost earlier this year. “Even now, they still call me Mbesuma when I’m playing football. “ When I was growing up, he was the striker I was looking up to.

He was scoring many goals for Kaizer Chiefs. I liked his movements and his positioning on the ball.” “We once had a chat when he was still at Pretoria Callies, and I was at AmaTuks.

He encouraged me to keep on working hard, then I will reach my full potential,” Nguse said. How good has Nguse been for Arrows? Let us know by clicking on the comment tab below this article or by emailing [email protected] or sending a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1.
