Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are reportedly interested in a 24-year-old striker, Muzomuhle Khanyi , who plays for Hungry Lions . Khanyi has been in impressive form, scoring 17 goals in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. His goal-scoring abilities have caught the attention of the Soweto giants, and if he continues to perform well, he could secure a significant contract by the end of the season.

The Chiefs recently signed a new striker in the January transfer window, while the Pirates have been alternating between Evidence Makgopa and Tshegofatso Mabasa. Both players have had average performances this season, which may explain why the Buccaneers are looking for a proven goal-scorer. Whether Khanyi can consistently find the back of the net remains uncertain.

Chiefs and Pirates battle for Hungry Lions star player According to Soccer Laduma , the Buccaneers have been monitoring Khanyi for several months but have yet to make an official offer. On the other hand, Chiefs have recently entered the competition for his signature. The team from Naturena has consistently struggled to score goals, so they may need Khanyi even more than Pirates do.

A source told Soccer Laduma that both Soweto giants have shown interest in Khanyi this season. “Enquiries have been made from Chiefs about Khanyi and it looks like the player will be definitely leaving Hungry Lions at the end of the season. This is the player who has been on the radar of Pirates for some time and Chiefs are now showing interest,” a source told the publication this week.
