It was a family affair and a night at the theater for the Crawford-Gerber clan yesterday, as well as a lesson in classically glamorous mother-daughter style by Kaia Gerber and Cindy Crawford. Yesterday (April 3), Kaia Gerber, Cindy Crawford, and Rande Gerber stepped out for the opening night of Good Night, and Good Luck , the stage adaptation of the 2005 George Clooney-starring movie that traces CBS news journalist Edward R. Murrow’s 1954 exposé of senator Joseph McCarthy, also co-written by Clooney.
While brother Presley Gerber was not in attendance, the rest of the family walked the Winter Garden Theatre red carpet. Kaia wore a square-necked, ankle-length black dress, paired with black kitten heels, and a simple gold watch. Her mother Cindy also wore a black dress, opting for a figure-hugging gown with one-sleeve and a cut-out chest feature and leg slit.
She also accessorized with a gold watch, a gold and black box clutch, and wore strappy black sandals. Both models’ looks were complementary to the other, and a true testament to the power and sartorially scope of the classic little black dress. Both women wore their hair in classic, Hollywood-esque blow-outs, and kept eye makeup minimally smoky with nude lipstick.

Then you’ve got Lila Moss and Kate Moss (who also love a mother-daughter LBD moment ): Lila likes to reference some of her mother’s most iconic looks, and they’ll also stay in aesthetic step on nights out together while keeping to their own personal tastes. They, too, even walk the same runways.
Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber, it seems, find their mother-daughter style rhythms in the most classic silhouettes and star-studded affairs. At the premiere of Shell at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival , Gerber even paid homage to Crawford with her red carpet look, wearing a white Hervé Léger bodycon dress that was a direct recreation of Crawford’s 1993 Oscars dress, custom-made for the occasion. Taking inspiration from her mother’s years of model off-duty style, Gerber has developed a distinct personal taste that incorporates staple denims, tailored pants, ballet flats, and oversized yet refined outerwear.
Crawford continues to be the style icon she always has been, opting these days for flowing silhouettes, wrap tops, and tailored suits. The Gerber-Crawfords joined Jennifer Lopez, Pierce Brosnan, Kylie Minogue, Uma Thurman, and Julianna Margulies to see Clooney take to the stage, making it a starry and fashionable night on Broadway for all..
