Two area judges have been reap pointed to continue to serve the community and judicial system, the Honorable Judge F. Patrick Loftin and the Honorable Judge Greg Waldrep. Loft is a dedicated attorney and municipal court judge has been re appointed.

Loftin has served as a Phenix City Municipal Court Judge since 1997, combining his legal practice with a commitment to public service. Raised in the small town of Hartford, Alabama, Loftin said he was inspired to pursue law by his older brother, Sam Loftin, who began his legal career a decade earlier. After earning his law degree from the Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Pat Loftin embarked on his own legal journey, where he quickly established himself as a compassionate advocate for his clients.



Loftin’s involvement extends beyond the courtroom; he is an active member of the Phenix City Exchange Club, where he helps raise funds for various earned an associate's of arts degree at Chattahoochee Valley College in 1978 and a bachelor's of science in business from Auburn University in 1979. He earned his juris doctorate in law from the University of Alabama in 1982. Her served as the Russell County assistant district attorney from 1984 to 2009, before becoming a municipal court judge with Phenix City.

The Phenix City Municipal Court handles misdemeanor cases, traffic and non-traffic, and parking tickets. Judge Patrick Loftin charitable initiatives benefiting the local community. His professional achievements are notable.

Loftin is a member of the Alabama Bar Association, currently serving as a Russell County Bar Commissioner, and he has previously held the position of president of the Russell County Bar Association. His legal acumen has earned him numerous accolades, including a high rating from Martindale Hubbell for both legal ability and ethical standards, and recognition as one of the National Trial Lawyers' Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyers in Alabama. Waldrep graduated from Smiths Station High School in 1976.
