Joyce Cascario Kopko OBITUARY Joyce Cascario Kopko, 70, of Bomoseen, VT, formerly of Pen Argyl PA passed away on April 9, 2025, after a brief illness. Joyce was born in Easton, the daughter of Anthony and Marlene Cascario. She married Steve Kopko in 1977, and had 4 children.
Joyce attended Moravian University and graduated with a degree in foreign languages in 1976. She was a foreign language major, studying abroad in Austria and Ecuador, and she continued her passion for travel throughout her life. Some of her favorite trips included Alaska, Italy, Ireland, and Disney World.
Joyce wore many hats during her full life: wife, mother, ski instructor, football fan, volunteer, and chief family planner. But arguably, her favorite role was “Nonni.” Joyce enjoyed every minute with her six grandchildren, sharing her favorite recipes, doing crafts, reading books, and teaching them Spanish.
Hosting “Camp Bomoseen” at her home was one of her great joys in life. She made the most of the moments, boating, swimming, searching for wildlife, and roasting s’mores over a campfire. Her family is lucky to have been a part of her immense passion for life.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Steve, her children Jeff (Jess) Kopko, Kevin (Jessica) Kopko, Casey Kopko, and Stephanie (Bryant) Coen, and her grandchildren, Kyla Kopko, Alexa Kopko, Everly Coen, Emilia Kopko, Asher Coen, and Cameron Kopko. Memorial services will be held, Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 1 PM at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl.
There will be a visitation beginning at 12 noon until time of services at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Elizabeth’s Cemetery, Pen Argyl.
