Hibbs Joseph Ray “Joey” Tringes, Jr., 44, of Hibbs, passed away Friday, October 18, 2024, in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.

, after a courageous two-year battle with lung cancer. He was born March 19, 1980, in Uniontown, a son of Joseph Ray Tringes, Sr., and the late Sandra Leona Suchevits Tringes.



Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by his two sons, Dontae and Derek; sister, Diana; and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Joseph is survived by his beloved and devoted partner, Marnie Miller; and his loving children, Breonna, Kayli, Natasha, Joseph III, and Cameron; his granddaughter, Cassandra Trimbur; his father, Joseph Ray Tringes, Sr. and Kathleen Ditmore; his sister, Christen Jordan and her husband, Raymond; his nephews, Jaxon and Jedson; his aunts, Berna Suchevits, Teresa Bollinger and husband Bill, and Paula Martin; along with other relatives, family, and many friends.

Joseph was known for his lighthearted and comical personality, often bringing laughter to those around him. A lifelong fan of The Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates, he found joy in sports and gaming on Xbox. His granddaughter, Cassandra, was a source of inspiration and motivation, giving him a reason to fight through his illness.

He cherished the time spent with his family and friends, and his absence will be deeply felt. A special thanks to The WVU Cancer Institute for their kindness, compasssion, and exceptional care during his battle. Joseph Ray Tringes Jr.

will be remembered for his love, humor, and the joy he brought into the lives of those who knew him. He will be dearly missed. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.

m. Friday, October 25, in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, where visitation continues from 10 until 11 a.m.

, the time of a funeral service, Saturday, October 26, with the Rev. Andy Miles officiating. Interment will follow in Salem View Cemetery.
