WHITEHALL—Joseph Alvin (Joey, Joe Yank) Yanklowitz passed away September 11, 2024, at the Glens Falls Hospital with loving family and friends not far from his bedside. Born on November 26, 1993, in Glens Falls, NY, he was the son of Theresa (Denno) Gagliardi and Raymond Yanklowitz. Joe was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Anna and Bernard Denno, grandfather Navio Gagliardi, paternal grandfather (Poppy) Alvin (Yanklowitz) Yanko, Aunts Barbara Tyler, Marie Murry; and Uncles Robert Denno, Joseph Denno, Peter Denno, and cousins and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth (Lizz Ross) Yanklowitz and furry kids, Binx, Salem and Felix Alvin, the baby terror; his parents Theresa (Denno) and Joe Gagliardi, and Raymond and Lori (Brown) Yanklowitz. His sister Anna Gagliardi (fiancée Joe Morgan) In-laws Marsha and Angelo Ross, brother-in-law Nicholas Ross; Grandmothers Anne Gagliardi and Sharon (Kelly) Yanko. Aunts Maria Gagliardi and Deidre (Yanklowitz) Beaudet, close cousins Kyle Beaudet & David (Wendy) & young cousin Kaden Beaudet, Aunt Bonnie Yanklowitz, Uncle Dr.

Also, maternal Aunts and Uncles, TwoBuck (Jo) Denno, Deborah Denno, Ralph (Heather) Denno, Michele (Tim) Gautreau, Tom (Michele) Denno, Mary (Ken) Osier, Maureen (Wade) Stevens, Bernadette (Mike) Fish, Pam Denno and many other beloved relatives and life-long friends. Joe proudly graduated from Glens Falls High School in 2010 and attended SUNY Adirondack.

Joey and his family spent summers in Hague, New York; Tennessee and later years many visits to New Hampshire and Vermont. He loved camping, swimming, bowling, hockey, traveling and poker. Joey loved his Saturday nights in Rutland VT playing poker with his father.

He was an avid sports fan and cheered on the Detroit Red Wings, Adirondack Thunder, Ice Hawks, Yankees and Patriots. He loved to gather and celebrate holidays, especially his birthday with family and friends. He had touched so many lives with his humor, love, kindness and generosity.

Joseph was a driver and dispatcher for years for Tri-County Cab Company. He looked so forward to new and exciting chapters in his life’s journeys following his wonderful wedding. Our loss is deep and as we grieve, we thank all family, friends, bowling team members, hockey lovers and teams, acquaintances and more for the outpouring of support, caring and love.

A special thank you from his family and friends to ICU doctors and nurses at Glens Falls Hospital. All are invited to join us as we Celebrate Joey’s Life at the Cool Insuring Arena (Heritage Hall) on Glen Street, Glens Falls from 4-8PM on Friday, Sept 20th. Wearing sports attire is encouraged! Joey will be deeply missed yet his legacy and spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of many.
