PALMDALE — Revelers are invited to kick off their holiday festivities in snowy style on Dec. 7 with the City of Palmdale’s Jolly Holiday celebration. The one-day event is from 11 a.
m. to 3 p.m.
at the Palmdale Amphitheater, 2723 West Rancho Vista Blvd. (Ave. P).
“As part of the city’s annual holiday festivities, this free event is the perfect way for Palmdale to experience the magic of community during December,” Mayor Austin Bishop said in a release announcing the event. “I am excited to witness the joy and laughter that comes with so many family activities bringing our residents together.” The fest includes a wintry wonderland, complete with sledding and snowmen, in a snow play area for those ages 12 and younger and a snow tubing experience for those ages 3 and up.
Other activities for guests include carnival games, holiday-themed miniature golf, a festive market, a craft-making station and much more. Mr. and Mrs.
Claus will be making a special appearance, as well as the Grinch to round out the experience. Children can meet them all for photographs. Enjoy the sounds of the season provided by singing group The Holiday Carolers and indulge in favorite winter treats, including hot cocoa, popcorn, cookies and a variety of food trucks to warm up from the snow and December chill.
