A big sports weekend kicked off with the fight between YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world Mike Tyson late Friday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Paul secured the win by unanimous decision after taking the 58-year-old to eight rounds in front of 70,000+ fans and with over 60M homes watching live on Netflix. For just getting in the ring, Paul will reportedly take home $40M while Tyson will get $20M.
But what's next for the 27-year-old? On Monday, popular streamer IShowSpeed (Speed) showed that he was not impressed with Paul's latest win, claiming he could beat the boxer in a fight with six months of training. "I feel like I could beat Jake Paul in a fight," Speed said. "When I watch him box, it's like it doesn't look fluent.
I feel like I can really get him...
If I have six months of training, I'm beating any boxer in this world. I think I'm knocking him out." Well, Paul's manager, Nakisa Bidarian, heard Speed loud and clear and responded to the streamer with an offer of $20M to accept a challenge.
"Tell him I have $10 million for him right now," Bidarian wrote. "Sign this week. If he beats Jake he gets a $10 million bonus.
Put your signature where your clout is.” Jake Paul’s manager offered IShowSpeed $20M after Speed said he’d beat Jake in a fight 🤑 “Tell him I have $10 million for him right now. Sign this week.

twitter.com/BASPCDx8MX Speed stands at 5-foot-8 and 143 pounds, compared to Paul's 6-foot-1 and 227 pounds, so the chances of them getting into the ring together seem highly unlikely. Still, Paul did put on 40 pounds to fight Tyson, so it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility, but both he and Speed would have to change their body entirely for a potential catchweight fight .
Still, fans were not impressed with Paul's team's latest offer, taking to social media to leave their jokes. "Jake does everything but fight a real current boxer lol," one fan joked . "This is the same kid who thinks he can beat Noah Lyles over 100m," said another.
"jake paul rushing to pay 20mil to beat up an 80 pound kid but getting super picky when it comes to actual boxers," added a third. "Scared to fight a real boxer," wrote another. "Jake Paul when a retired or non professional challenges him," commented a fifth with a video to paint the picture.
"Jake Paul needs an actual challenge, but he's just too scared to pick one," chimed in a sixth. Kevin Jairaj-Imagn Images Speed has shown his high level of confidence in the past. He recently challenged Team USA gold medalist sprinter Noah Lyles to a race, nearly defeating who many people are calling the fastest man alive.
The streamer even challenged Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill to a separate race, but the wide receiver declined. Still, a fight between Paul and Speed would likely drive in significant traffic if it were to happen. But, again, it likely won't.
