The Hollywood actor received a stern warning from Big Brother in last night's episode after he announced his intention to "vote the lesbian out" referring to Jojo, and then said "I need a fag" before telling Jojo: "I'm not talking to you." Now, non-binary influencer Kath has expressed their disgust at Mickey's comments in an Instagram video. Kath, who has been dating Jojo since January, was visibly upset by the actor's words.
Addressing their followers, Kath began the video by stating: "Let's take out for a second the fact that I obviously have massive emotional stakes in the comments that Mickey made to Jojo by the virtue of her being my f**king partner. They're also rooted in misogyny and f**king violence." After recounting Mickey and Jojo's exchange, Kath suggested that the actor's desire to vote Jojo out was "rooted in misogyny".
They added: "If men deem you unf**kable, they have no use for you. If the male gaze is not a part of this situation and I have no power over you sexually- which no offence Mickey you look like a f**king foot, so you don't stand a chance with anyone anyway because you're a f**king loser - then I'm going to bully you. "You're not going to play into my creepy jokes, I'm going to bully you and say that I don't want you here.
And then he proceeds to call her a f****t. There are so many layers to that interaction, it makes me feel sick to my stomach," reports the Mirror . Kath expressed relief that Big Brother issued Mickey a formal warning but stressed that his words were "dangerous".
They remarked: "I would not want to be alone in a room with him and I wouldn't want anyone to be alone in a room with him." Directly addressing Mickey, Kath stated: "Mate that wasn't a short fuse. You revealed yourself, you revealed the way that you really think and the way that you think about women and you feel a little bit ashamed because you got called out for it on a television show.
"Maybe instead, read a f***ing book, interrogate your f**king behaviour and think about if you had a daughter or a sister or someone that you really loved who was a woman, would you leave them alone with you." On their Instagram story later, Kath criticised Jojo's Celebrity Big Brother housemates, noting: "Also the fact that only one person pulled him up on it is very telling of where we are at." They continued: "Men don't bother wearing your ribbons on international women's day if you're not going to actually start doing something to end men's violence against women.
It doesn't just start when a woman or queer person is physically assaulted. The ladder to that is comments like this." During the latest episode, Mickey received a formal warning from Big Brother regarding his remarks, leading him to offer an apology to Jojo.
Mickey explained, "I apologise. I don't have dishonourable intentions - I'm just talking smack you know. I wasn't taking it all so serious.
I didn't mean in it any bad intentions and if I did, sorry," he said to Jojo..
